Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanics to join our clients growing team in Grand Island, NE. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to bulldozers, excavators, and loaders. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our equipment fleet.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Wichita, KS. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and servicing a variety of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and trucks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment mechanics and a passion for delivering high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues

- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify any potential problems

- Repair or replace damaged or worn parts using hand and power tools

- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed

- Communicate with clients to understand their equipment needs and provide recommendations for maintenance and repairs

- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy equipment mechanics

- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks

- Good communication and customer service skills

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The work schedule may vary depending on project needs and may include weekends and overtime. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will primarily work in a repair shop or on job sites, which may involve exposure to outdoor elements and loud noises. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods is required.
