Our client, a leading real estate-focused investment management firm, is looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee one of their Credit Real Estate Funds. The candidate should have at least 10 years' experience in real estate accounting and will be responsible for the preparation, review, and closing of financial statements. Additional responsibilities include reviewing trial balances, preparing variance analysis, and booking cash entries. Ideal candidates will have a combination of public and private experience, strong communication skills, and a proven record of working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:
•Recalculation of administrators management fees and any related management fee offset calculations
•Prepare/review SEC reporting requirements (10-K/10-Q/GAAP checklist) in accordance with US GAAP
•Review/analyze forward looking projections such as cash management and dividend coverage
•Support/Assist the Internal Audit Team to ensure that process narratives reflect current procedures and that controls are implemented and executed
•Review quarterly financial statements
•Review quarterly partner capital account statements
•Prepare investment P&L reports for Real Estate
•Build key relationships with third party managers/operators and vendors as well as the internal Legal, Accounting Policy, Asset Management, Investment and Marketing teams
•Reconcile all balance sheet and income statement accounts with administrator
•Prepare track record and performance scorecard
•Prepare Portfolio Summary report

Job Requirements:
•Strong communication skills, as this individual will be communicating with multiple groups
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting is a must and higher education is strongly preferred
•CPA preferred
•Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups and SUMMIFS)
•Experience using VPM is a must!
