Human Resources Generalist – Temporary Contract
Location: Concord, CA
Pay Range: $25-34/hr
Full-Time/Onsite: Mon – Fri 8:30 to 5 pm
6-month Temporary Contract
We are actively hiring an HR Generalist with 2 plus years of experience to join our nonprofit client in healthcare. In this role, you will provide essential support in all aspects of HR operations, including day-to-day HR operations, and administering workers' compensation and safety programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently support HR processes, including managing inboxes, employee correspondence, and staff communication.
  • Assist with onboarding and exit interviews, and collaborate with the HR & leadership team to identify staffing needs and qualifications.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for surveys and labor law compliance, and participate in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Assist with workers' compensation, Snappy (employee and client gifting app), safety, and illness/injury prevention programs to ensure compliance and employee well-being.
  • Serve as the HR representative on safety committees and task forces, promoting a culture of safety and emergency preparedness.
  • Provide generalist and administrative support, including benefits administration, HRIS management, and new hire orientation.
Qualifications:
  • 2 + years HR Generalist & HRIS experience required.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of state and federal labor laws, compensation and benefits administration, and workers' compensation.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and fostering a respectful workplace culture.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS/database software.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR management or related field a plus.
  • PHR/SPHR certification a plus.
