Caregiver

Job Summary:
Senior Helpers, a leading provider of in-home care for seniors, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team in Lafayette, Louisiana. This is a part-time, hourly healthcare/medical position, with a compensation range of $10 to $12 per hour, paid biweekly. As a Caregiver at Senior Helpers, you will be responsible for providing assistance and support to our senior clients in the comfort of their own homes. You will play a crucial role in helping our clients maintain their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
- Providing companionship and social interaction to clients
- Assisting with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication reminders
- Accompanying clients to appointments or outings
- Communicating regularly with team members, clients, and their families to ensure all needs are being met
- Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in client's condition

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a caregiver preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is a plus
- Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and principles
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable
