Monarch Manufacturing, Inc.’s Delivery Department’s Part-Time Drivers are responsible for taking our custom cabinetry to our customers in a prompt and timely manner. Our Delivery Department’s Drivers will represent Monarch Manufacturing, Inc. in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase customer satisfaction. When not assisting with deliveries, our Part-Time Drivers are working in the Packaging department to box up our products for the next delivery.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.


DRIVER’S RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:

  • Deliver a wide variety of items to different locations and through different routes.
  • Follow routes and time schedule for deliveries.
  • Loading and unloading of delivery items in the delivery truck.
  • Prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle.
  • Complete logs and reports.
  • Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.
  • Follow and comply with state driving laws.
  • Dedication to keeping a clean and well stocked working environment.
  • Cross-train in other areas during department downtime.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness, consistency, and thoroughness of the work assigned.


PACKAGER’S RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:

  • Ability to read and comprehend order paperwork and blueprints.
  • Ability to use part tracking system, occasionally printing paperwork if needed.
  • Attention to small details.
  • Ability to use a Packsize Boxing machine.
  • Ability to use a Landen LP9 strapping machine.
  • Ability to verify the job is complete before it leaves the facility.
  • Dedication to keeping a clean and well stocked working environment.
  • Cross-train in other areas during department downtime.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness, consistency, and thoroughness of the work assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

At least 1 year’s working experience as a Delivery Driver required.

Valid (non CDL) class C driver’s license required.

Valid DOT Physical card required.

Good driving record with no traffic violations required.

Monarch Manufacturing, Inc. requires a current motor vehicle report (MVR) of all applicants for this position. Any applicants with a major violation in the last 5 years will not be eligible for this position. An acceptable report means the applicant has had no more than 2 minor violations OR 1 at-fault accident in the last 3 years, OR no more than a combination of 1 minor violation and 1 at-fault accident in the last 3 years.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ascending or descending ladders, stepstools, stairs, ramps, and the like on a constant basis.
  • Move self into different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces constantly.
  • Remain standing or sitting in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time on an occasional basis.
  • Moving about accomplishing tasks or moving from one work site to another constantly.
  • Adjusting or moving objects of varying weights in all directions.
    • Constant movement of objects up to 50 pounds.
    • Constant movement of objects up to 100 pounds or more with assistance.
  • Constant repeated motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Occasional operation of machinery and/or power tools as assigned.
  • Constant operation of motor vehicles or heavy equipment.


ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Occasional exposure to low temperatures during winter months.
  • Occasional exposure to high temperatures during summer months.
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
  • Occasional exposure to noisy environments.
  • Occasional exposure to small and/or enclosed spaces.


JOB LOCATION:

Sullivan, Illinois.


PAY SCALE:

$18.00 to $20.00 an hour. This is based on experience with the potential to increase at 30/90-day performance reviews.


WORK SCHEDULE:

First Shift/Day Shift.
Monday through Friday. Work hours will vary depending on the delivery schedule.
