BEACH AUTOMOTIVE PARTS DEPT - 843-839-8138

Job Summary: Assists parts department customers with parts requests to ensure that the correct part is obtained the first time.  This includes identifying the correct parts through the parts catalog and locating them out of inventory or placing orders for the requested parts.  Also, assists in the Parts Department operations by maintaining and tracking the parts inventory and accessories. 2-3 years in automotive parts required. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greets all customers promptly, provides timely professional services.
  • Provides excellent customer service by listening to customer inquiries and requests, asking questions so as to ensure understanding of needs, and supplying parts in a timely manner.
  • Recommends related parts that are needed.
  • Provides customer a time estimate for obtaining part(s).
  • Costs parts on invoice or repair order.

Parts Counterperson Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
  • Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock.
  • Complete special order part request for the customer.
  • Communicate with customer on parts status.
  • Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations applicable to industry.

Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years experience with auto parts sales (required,) Ford dealer experience (preferred.)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented, have a professional appearance and strong work ethic.
