Balance Point Wellness, LLC is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Healthcare (ACHC). We are a community-based holistic mental health and wellness center that provides counseling/psychotherapy, psychiatry, equine-facilitated therapy, and wellness services (acupuncture and nutrition services) to individuals and families in Maryland. We are located in Baltimore, Bel Air, Salisbury, and Hunt Valley, MD. We have a school-based program in both Baltimore and Harford County schools. We also offer telehealth services in Maryland and now Delaware.

As a rapidly growing organization, we are looking for a talented Associate Director for our Bel Air and Nottingham offices. This role is for an advanced licensed clinical therapist and board approved supervisor. As an Associate Director, you will be responsible for the oversight, management and supervision of their assigned program and services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the agency’s management team, demonstrating a commitment to building cooperation and collaboration among managers, staff, programs, and departments.
  • Maintain client caseload as appropriate per hiring conditions.
  • Serve as a liaison between Upper Management and staff.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of annual program work plans including program goals and measurable outcomes consistent with the agency’s strategic plan.
  • Maintain program procedures and guidelines and the highest quality standards of practice in collaboration with the program’s Director and staff by adhering to COMAR, and ACHC and ensuring ethical and professional competency and conduct among program staff.
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to participate in the development of program, project, and agency budgets and monitor financial reports to ensure that programs are on target for meeting both program and agency fiscal goals.
  • Work with Clinical Supervisors to ensure that program evaluations address desired outcomes, are conducted on an annual basis, and that the data is analyzed and reported to the Director.
  • Conducts audits per outlined in the schedule directed by the Chief Compliance Officer.
  • Assist in the monitoring of the programs’ compliance with contractual agreements and grant requirements to ensure the accuracy of our reporting and that all deadlines are met.
  • Provide reports to the Director of Clinical Services regarding programs’ productivity and progress, ensuring that all staff resources are used effectively to promote an efficient service delivery system, and report any problems or incidents as they arise.
  • Facilitate program services meetings and arrange for and/or facilitate in-service trainings for staff.
  • Participate in the recruitment, hiring, supervision, and performance evaluation of Center staff with identifying goals and benchmarks for professional development and/or improvement. Ensure that supervision provides the highest degree of professionalism, autonomy, quality of service, and collaboration between staff an agency programs.
  • Ensure LGPC and LMSW staff are supervised per Maryland State regulation to provide services to individuals. (No more than 8 individuals)
  • Whenever necessary, provide consultation to other agency staff regarding cases that require clinical/case management oversight, supervision, and service planning and provide clinical consultation to our community partners.

Requirements:

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

  • Master’s/doctorate in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling required.
  • LCPC or LCSW-C board-approved supervisor preferred. *If you are not a board approved supervisor yet, you must apply to become a supervisor within 6 months of eligibility.*
  • Licensed in Maryland to provide Mental health treatment
  • 2 years’ experience in effective program management and supervision with work history demonstrating progressively increased responsibility and promotion within the social services field.
