The Design Engineer is responsible for the design and development of extrusion blow molds, fixtures, and related tooling. In this role, you will contribute to transforming ideas into industry-leading products for some of the world’s most recognized and respected brands. You Will

  • Design and draw preliminary sketches and detailed drawings; using CAD software.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical information concerning manufacturing techniques, equipment, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations.
  • Evaluate product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine design feasibility.
  • Recommend modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
  • Analyze test data and reports to determine if designs meet functional and performance requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Partner with Project Engineers and Technicians to implement operating procedures, provide technical feedback, and prepare design modifications.


You Have:

  • Associate’s degree in Engineering, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of five years of design engineering experience; plastics or molding experience preferred
  • Proficiency using 3D modeling software; Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor preferred
  • Knowledge and demonstrated use of related computer software, i.e.:  SAP, MS Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to operate as an effective subject matter expert and resource for peers, management, customers, and vendors
