Schools - Paraprofessional

Responsibilities:

1. Student Support: Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students as directed by the classroom teacher or special education staff.

2. Assistance with Instruction: Assist in the implementation of instructional activities under the guidance of the classroom teacher.

3. Behavioral Support: Support students in developing appropriate behaviors and social skills.

4. Classroom Assistance: Aid in the preparation and maintenance of classroom materials and assist with classroom management.

5. Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

1. Education: Minimum of a high school diploma; some college coursework or a degree in education or a related field is preferred.

2. Experience: Prior experience working with students, especially those with diverse learning needs, is advantageous.

3. Certification: Paraprofessional certification or willingness to obtain certification.

4. Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

5. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents.
