Job Description

Position: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Location: Vail, CO
Dates: ASAP - 05/31/2024, contract renewal based on 24/25 school year
Pay Range: $26/hr to $29/hr

Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs, targeting the reduction of challenging behaviors and the development of appropriate social and communication skills.
- Collect and record data on student behavior, progress, and responses to interventions, ensuring accurate and consistent documentation.
- Assist in the assessment and evaluation of student behavior to contribute to the development and modification of behavior intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and other team members to implement strategies and supports to promote positive behavior in various educational settings.
- Follow established protocols and behavior management techniques to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff.
- Provide support and training to teachers and other staff members regarding behavior management strategies and techniques.
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and collaborating on behavior support strategies.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and supervision sessions as required.

Qualifications:
- At least a high school diploma or equivalent
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
- Prior experience working with individuals with special needs, preferably in an educational or clinical setting.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with behavior intervention plans and data collection procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to follow directions, implement strategies consistently, and maintain confidentiality.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs.
