How You’ll Make an Impact:

As a CNC Programmer on our machining team, you will transform rough products into something complete with exacting tolerances. This team enables our organization to produce products on-time and to customer’s requirements. You will work alongside many departments such as: Quality, Engineering, and Operations to produce high-quality products.

What you’ll be doing as a CNC Programmer:

  • Working a Full-time, onsite position at our Chatsworth, CA location.
  • Preferred shift time is M-F, 8am-4:30pm. Other shift times may also be available.
  • Work with manufacturing engineers to develop the planning and programming approaches to manufacture complex aerospace parts.
  • Develop, order and document special consumable tooling to support engineering planning and machining.
  • Work with CAD/CAM solid models (provided by customers, created from design, or created from drawings) in SolidWorks, MasterCAM, GibbsCAM or similar
  • Develop, sketch, collaborate with and direct tool & fixture designers and fabricators to create and manufacture tooling to support machining operations.
  • Program a variety of CNC machines to support company and customer requirements.
  • Maintain program and documentation (tool lists, gage lists, inspection requirements) consistent with good manufacturing and configuration control practices.
  • Set up machines, proof programs and transfer operating & set-up knowledge to operations staff.
  • Work with set up, operations and inspection staff to deliver approved first piece/first article parts.
  • Support Operations staff with on-going production to improve operations
  • Propose continuous improvement ideas while leading and implementing approved projects
  • Other duties assigned/directed by the VP of Engineering.
    All other duties as assigned.



Minimum Requirements:

  • Available to work a full-time position with pre-determined shift times.
  • At least 10-15 years of machining experience, plus 5-7 years related hands-on experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with programming complex 4- and 5-axis aerospace parts
  • Ability to interpret and communicate drawing requirements accurately
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of GibbsCAM, MasterCAM and SolidWorks a plus
  • Team-player with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Works safely and as part of a high performing team.

Work Environment:

A large percentage of work time is spent in a machine shop where temperatures vary from hot to cold. The environment may also include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vapor from coolant, etc. Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required.

Compensation and Benefits:

The CNC Programmer Compensation range for onsite CA applicants is $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 commensurate with experience. Some shifts may include shift differential pay rates. Other site ranges may differ.
