POSITION SUMMARY
As an Automotive Service Technician for Big O Tires, you will perform diagnostic, repair, and maintenance activities on passenger vehicles, light trucks, and trailers in an accurate and timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles with efficiency as outlined on the repair order.
- Diagnosing problems described and making the correct necessary repair(s).
- Road Test vehicles to diagnose and assure repairs have been made correctly.
- Documenting work performed legibly on the repair order.
- Communicate results of diagnosis and multi-point inspection with your Service Advisor so that customers can be informed and make decisions regarding service needed.
- Execute warranty repairs as prescribed by the manufacturer.
- Keeping work area clean and safe.
- ASE Certification(s) preferred
- Valid drivers license without restrictions
- Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed
- Reliable transportation to work
- Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
- Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
- Capability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Willingness to work with hazardous materials and in outdoor weather conditions
- Complies with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations
- Ability to move and lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and criminal background check
