Automotive Technician

Full-Time + Overtime, Mon-Sat, 5 Day Work Week, Pay Based on Experience, $50,000 to $75,000 W/Commission, Plus PTO & Medical.
Must be willing to commute to Downtown Boise, ID.

POSITION SUMMARY
As an Automotive Service Technician for Big O Tires, you will perform diagnostic, repair, and maintenance activities on passenger vehicles, light trucks, and trailers in an accurate and timely manner.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles with efficiency as outlined on the repair order.
• Diagnosing problems described and making the correct necessary repair(s).
• Road Test vehicles to diagnose and assure repairs have been made correctly.
• Documenting work performed legibly on the repair order.
• Communicate results of diagnosis and multi-point inspection with your Service Advisor so that customers can be informed and make decisions regarding service needed.
• Execute warranty repairs as prescribed by the manufacturer.
• Keeping work area clean and safe.

QUALIFICATIONS

• ASE Certification(s) preferred
• Valid drivers license without restrictions
• Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed
• Reliable transportation to work
• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
• Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
• Capability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Willingness to work with hazardous materials and in outdoor weather conditions
• Complies with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations
• Ability to move and lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and criminal background check
