Job Overview
As an Orangetheory Fitness Coach, you will be responsible for delivering scientifically predesigned workouts per session. This position requires a strong ability to coach, manage time, and motivate multiple clients in a group setting. The Coach will deliver a high-energy workout experience. This role must focus on a well-rounded theory of fitness, including endurance, strength, and power, using the tools given to optimize the clients experience and results. The Coach will report to the Head Coach or Studio Sales & Fitness Manager.
Job Responsibilities
Deliver exciting workout experiences for 24+ attendees per class session.
Energize and motivate clients from beginning to end of all workout sessions.
Build OTF attendance and retain current membership.
Increase class utilization and occupancy with coaching standards.
Regularly attends and participates in staff meetings, events, and fitness workshops.
Answer questions and resolve member concerns through problem-solving.
Communicate with members through phone, email, and messaging tools. Conduct intro and low-user calls regularly.
Maintain safe studio environments through pre and post-studio cleaning duties.
Assist member advisors with OTF studio introduction sessions, audits, and studio tours.
Monitors participants progress to progress or regress exercises to align with fitness levels.
Review workout templates before workout sessions to deliver the best workout experience.
Explains and enforces safety rules and use of exercise equipment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
High energy, self-motivated, and driven fitness professional.
Intermediate knowledge of exercise physiology, body mechanics, and technique.
Ability to prioritize, organize, and effectively complete duties and projects.
Interpersonal savvy with the successful ability to connect with members, the community, and the public.
Excellent communication and organization skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, mobile applications, and other software systems.
Education & Experience
Work Conditions
Frequently walking indoors and outdoors.
Ability to lift 40 lbs.
Ability to bend, squat, reach, kneel, step, and stand on feet for extended periods of time.
Routine high levels of noise within the work environment.
Ability to work flexible schedules as needed, including weekends and holidays.
May travel across local regions for meetings and events.

Education & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- 1+ year of group fitness training or personal fitness training experience.
- Valid Fitness Certification from ACSM, ACE, NASM, NSCA & ISSA CPT (with an NCCPT exam).
- Valid CPR/AED Certification.
