Steel Operator

The Steel Operator works directly with team members to support production initiatives. They perform duties such as set up, operate, and tend various machines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operates specialty equipment which may include but is not limited to hand tools, grinders, presses, hydraulic shears, punches, saws, drills, and industrial rollers.
• Produce quality work that meets company expectations.
• Reports defective material questionable conditions to department supervisor.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
• Performs other related duties as required by supervision.
• Satisfy the company attendance requirements.

The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be to work in both hot and cool environments. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Education/Experience:

No experience required. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
