Qualifications:

• Certification as an SLP in state of Virginia
• Minimum2 years working with students with communication disorders
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the well-being of students

Responsibilities:

• Conducting assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students

• Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's specific communication disorder

• Providing therapy sessions to students with speech and language disorders

• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to supportstudents with communication disorders

• Regularly assessing and monitoring the progress of students undergoing speech-language therapy

• Keeping detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports

• Attending IEP meetings to discuss the student's progress, set goals, and collaborate with the educational team to support the student's overall development

• Staying informed about the latest research, techniques, and trends in speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development

• Providing emotional support and counseling to students with speech and language disorders, helping them cope with the challenges they may face in communication
