Accounts Receivable Clerk

Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk. There is a job opening with great career growth potential and a great benefits package in this quickly growing accounting team. Candidates who are able to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L will be most fit for this position. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will handle 200+ invoices a week, so we are seeking candidates who are self-starters, with high attention to detail. This is a short-term contract / contract to permanent Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Wellford, South Carolina area.

Responsibilities

- Promote, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization

- Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans

- Compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports and take care of payments in compliance with GAAP

- Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. written correspondence, phone contact, skip-tracing, and making arrangements for payment

- Offer information to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

- Settle bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a variety of ledgers

- Test documents and codes

- Execute a range of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks- Experience with ERP systems

- Reliable skills in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred

- Analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

- Solid understanding of Major ERP System

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

- 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

- Be detailed, flexible, and organized
