BriefOverview:

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher in Pullman, WA to join our team of educators. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating inclusive and supportive learning environments for students with diverse learning needs. This position offers the flexibility of hourly employment under a W2 agreement, providing a rewarding opportunity for educators who value flexibility in their schedules.

Details:

Special Ed. TeachingPosition:

  • 35 hours/week
    NSY "school starts on 8/28/24 but wed probably want her for 3 or 4 days of professional development before that; last day is around 6/13/25"
    K-5th grade. 22-27 students
    The position is for a resource room teacher who works with students most who qualify as having a learning disability but will also include health impairments, developmental delays, autism (not severe), and maybe mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. It isnotfor students with significant needs for severe emotional issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create inclusive learning environments.

  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and behavior.

Qualifications:

  • State certification in Special Education.

  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Interview Process:

  • (10-15) minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter

  • (20-30) minute virtual interview directly with the school

  • Offer is typically within 24 hours of the virtual interview.
