Job Title: Accounting Clerk
Location: Knoxville, TN
Salary: $18-21 per hour

Position Overview:
As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a key role in supporting our accounting team by performing various tasks with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare and review vendor invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions on a regular basis
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Assist with financial reporting and analysis as needed
  • Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide support for audit activities and assist with documentation requests

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a corporate or accounting firm setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment


Pay Details: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour
