POSITION SUMMARY
This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in manufacturing engineering while contributing to real-world projects aimed at enhancing production efficiency and quality. Duties and Responsibilities
- Update production routes and picture labels as applicable
- Conduct time studies and flow observations through work centers
- Review and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) based on system/workflow/project needs
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to ensure BOM and route accuracy
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline production processes
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as safety and quality standards
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, procurement, and quality assurance.
- Other project work as requested
Paint-Specific:
- Create and update hang patterns
- Analyze defects and CCN data to drive future projects and improvements
- Support creation of SOP’s specifically for new paint batch system (May-2024)
- Validate accuracy of routes and routing times
- Support with new product introduction, process flow, and other projects
Attributes:
- Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods
- Evaluates production equipment capabilities in meeting product requirements
- Solid mechanical aptitude
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Work as a team player
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Management or related field.
- Prefer Juniors and Seniors
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
