 Collision Repair Technician Responsibilities: 

  • Supervises paint department workflow. 
  • Organize paint jobs to provide the most productive repair system. 
  • Refinishes damaged vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership quality specifications and standards. 
  • Conducts refinish work according to I-CAR standards. 
  • Inspects painted units for quality of workmanship before and after painting. 
  • Notifies management of any unsatisfactory work before starting the paint process. 
  • Maintains tools and keeps equipment clean and in proper state of repair. 
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe working environment. 
  • Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including a respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer. 
  • Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. 
  • Understands, keeps up to date, and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc. 
  • Cooperates and assists other personnel in the prepping of vehicles. 
  • Ability to color match nonblended panels. 
  • Inspects paint match before returning to technician for reassembly. 

Job Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of experience in automotive painting as a collision repair technician. 
  • Technical school or in-shop experience. 
  • Required to complete continued education classes for I-Car certification. ASE, OEM Training/Certifications are helpful.  
  • Ability to deliver a world-class, customer-centric experience. 
  • Ability to work with little supervision. 
  • Work through competing priorities and adapt easily to a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to provide personable, friendly customer service to internal and external customers. 
  • Must be willing to work in a drug-free/smoke-free workplace. 

License: 

  • Driver's License (Required) 

Salary: Flat-rate pay with earning potential from $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
