Please note that this is a hybrid position; the candidate will be required to be onsite at least once a month and available for any onsite meetings that the Client manager requires the candidate to participate in. Client will not cover the cost to meet the onsite requirement. The onsite requirement can change at any time during the course of the engagement and candidate will need to work with Client to meet those requirements of the engagement or risk losing the the engagement.

Complete Description:

The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) is seeking a qualified Technical/Content Writer (TCW) to create short- and long-form content documentation and visual content (including but not limited to videos, flyers, guides, process documents, and process flows/diagrams, etc.) for various audiences. The TCW must be able to gain a deep understanding of products and services and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content. The TCW must have experience with software development and/or a technology background with experience with various data systems. The TCW must have attention to detail, highly developed written communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
The TCW must have experience creating system documentation, training users, developing user guidance & training materials, assessments, utilizing video editing software, and managing version control.
The TCW will take ownership of content creation from conception to completion: determining strategy, drafting copy, incorporating team and stakeholder feedback, optimizing the content for the platform, and evaluating results. The TCW will have experience in proofreading communications to ensure materials are on brand, aligned with strategy, clear, and error-free. Masterfully use tools such as Microsoft Word and Office Suite to publish content. Critically (yet with a collaborative spirit) edit team members work.
