Job Description:

The Electrical Engineering position is in a fast paced and dynamic environment requiring tasking flexibility to meet ever changing customer objectives. Primary responsibilities include design, development, and support of ruggedized electronics for a variety of military fuzing and ordnance systems throughout the full product life cycle. It will require the ability to work within a team structure as well as work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Design, analyze, and test analog and digital circuits consisting of differential amplifiers, op amps, comparators, LDOs, filters, data converters, sensors, logic gates, counters, timers, microcontrollers, FPGAs, etc.
  • Evaluate designs and diagnose anomalous circuit behavior using standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, meters, etc.)
  • Develop circuit models and run simulations using simulation tools (LTSpice, MATLAB/Simulink, etc.)
  • Generate technical documentation (Test Plans, Test Reports, Drawings, etc.)
  • Regular communication with internal team members and customers
  • Ability to travel 5%
  • Ability to obtain a government issued, Secret level clearance if needed in the future.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or a Graduate/Master’s Degree and a minimum of 0-2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience is required.
  • 1+ years of the following:
    • Experience with basic analog building blocks including differential amplifiers, op amps, LDOs, filters, and data converters
    • Experience with basic digital building blocks including logic gates, flip flops, timers, and filters
    • Experience in troubleshooting using standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, meters, etc.)
    • Experience with modeling and simulation utilities (LTSpice, MATLAB/Simulink, etc.)
    • Experience in creating technical documentation (test plans, test reports, drawings, etc.)

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field with 2+ years of professional experience highly desireable.
  • Experience with power supply and power conditioning design
  • Experience with power conversion concepts (AC/DC, DC/DC, and DC/AC, Linear and Switching Supplies)
  • Experience with serial communication buses including UART, SPI, and I2C
  • Experience with temperature sensors, MEMs accelerometers, differential pressure sensors, and GYROs
  • Experience in module design including component selection, circuit analysis, circuit design, and layout
  • Experience with general design best practices (EMI suppression, ESD protection, and Short circuit protection)
  • Experience working in highly regulated environment
  • Experience with Root Cause analysis
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
