INSIDE SALESPERSON WITH KEYHOLDER RESPONSIBILIES
In business, first impressions can be the difference between closing a sale and a customer walking out empty handed. As a customer facing member of our inside sales team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the customers first impression of our business is that it is staffed with competent, confident, knowledgeable and likeable employees, who are ready to help them.

INSIDE SALES PERSON RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of our inside sale team, you will be responsible for promoting and generating sales of lumber, building materials, hardware as well as paint and other items within the store.

KEYHOLDER RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Holder responsibilities include overseeing the opening and/or closing of the store as scheduled, as well as assisting management in ensuring that daily operations run smoothly. Key holders can be responsible for managing other sales associates, maintaining inventory, and are always responsible for ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience. They also handle customer complaints and resolve any issues that arise during their shift.
To be successful in this role, candidates should have excellent communication and organizational skills, as they will need to delegate tasks and manage personnel throughout the day. They should also have a strong attention to detail and be able to multitask effectively. Additionally, Key Holders should be comfortable working with technology, such as cash registers and inventory management systems.
Overall, a Key Holder is someone who is dependable, diligent, and customer-oriented. With hard work and dedication, Key Holders play a vital role in ensuring the success of retail businesses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Be customer ready whenever you are on the sales floor.
Develop meaningful customer relationships to encourage loyalty and grow sales.
Recommend related items when appropriate.
Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
Possess excellent product knowledge and knowledge of store location of products.
Answer customer inquiries via telephone and walk in business regarding product needs and pricing using vendors for support.
Generate and place special orders with suppliers.
Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
Ensure that endcaps and feature displays are properly displayed and maintained.
Process weekly hot sheets, price changes, and bin tags in a timely manner.
Participate in the processing/receiving of new shipments.
Ensure incoming stock is in its correct place with correct pricing.
Ensure that cycle counts and negative on hand reports are completed timely and accurately.
Maintain desirable product levels to ensure store profitability.
Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness of sales floor, stock room, and merchandise areas.
Assist with special projects.
Proper use of point of sale software to execute cash, credit card, and check sales according to store procedures.
Receive payment for merchandise and enter sales information into the point of sale software using all administrative and accounting related procedures.
Assist in inventory maintenance.
Greet every customer you come in contact with.
Answer the telephone.
Process defective/damaged goods according to store procedures.
Responsible for opening/closing of store.
Selecting and mixing paint using color match software.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to stand for up to 5 hours at a time.
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
Reach overhead to grasp materials.
Bend or squat to floor level to lift product.

QUALIFICATIONS
Retail experience with building materials and hardware items is highly preferred.
Basic computing skills and familiarity with Excel and Word required.
Knowledge of building materials and the constructions process required.
Ability to read orders, follow instructions, and complete forms.
Ability to perform construction math functions.
Possess the ability to communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills.
