Engineering Manager

Sheet metal engineering manufacturer is seeking a Engineering Manager to lead their current engineering and manufcaturing team. Leadership and technical hands on experience is required. ideal candidate will have a strong background in custom manufcaturing for mechanical, medical, aerospace, automotive or industrial product development.
Qualifications:

• 8+ years' experience working and leading teams in a fast-paced high-volume manufacturing environment (defense industry preferred)
• Ability to work as part of a team. Management skills. Problem/situation analysis. Oral and written communication skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships. Analytical thinking skills.
• Ability to coordinate a wide variety of resources to meet production quality and quantity metrics
• In-depth knowledge of the production process and the tools and equipment used in the process
• Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of employees to achieve high production levels within tight time deadlines and in a highly dynamic manufacturing environment
• Strong background in collaboration with engineering
• Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
• Experience with start ups, such as project planning, and establishing business processes, management systems, and work instructions is preferred
• This is an exciting opportunity to create the business processes, systems, and culture to stand up a production operation
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Defense Industry and how decisions impact customer satisfaction, product quality, and on-time delivery preferred
