About this job

  • JOB SUMMARY
    • Performs routine daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of fire suppression and control systems within a large Aluminum plant. Responds to fire alarms and fires at locations within the plant. Respond to medical emergencies and at times perform drug screenings on injured employees. Works with plant leadership while on-shift to promote a safe work environment for our client and their employees.

  • JOB SPECIFICATIONS
    • Education and/or experience: Experience with fire detection systems and fire control systems is preferred but will train the right candidate. Current paramedic or emergency medical technician advanced (EMT-A) certificate to practice professionally in Tennessee. Prior experience in an emergency medicine setting is preferred. CPR and AED certification required. CPR and First Aid Instructor preferred. Must provide and maintain own professional liability insurance coverage. Driver’s license required.
    • Knowledge: Knowledge of scope of practice according to state regulations.
    • Skills: Must have organizational skills. Effective oral and written communication. Basic computer knowledge.
    • Abilities: Ability to communicate clearly in a positive manner. Ability to maintain a positive and open attitude to change. Demonstrates ability to be self-directed, motivated, to independently seek out resources and work collaboratively. Assist with basic needs assessment using a variety of strategic tools. Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work efficiently and effectively. Ability to think critically and problem solve while remaining focused in a stressful or fast paced environment.
