Data Entry Pharmacy Technician

DATA ENTRY PHARMACY TECHNICIAN JOB SUMMARY:

• Triage, interpret and input orders into computerized medication order system while meeting accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy. 
• Audit input versus documentation and makes corrections as needed.
• Perform drug calculations including basic mathematical calculations (e.g., converting milligrams).
• May resolve issues of denials identified through adjudication, and follow-up claims in Point of Sale (POS).
• May produce reports and keep management informed of unpaid claims and claims pending follow-up.
• May assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.
• Perform other tasks as assigned, which can include assisting in any area of the pharmacy as directed by management.

DATA ENTRY PHARMACY TECHNICIAN HIGHLIGHTS:

• Shift: Mon-Fri, 7a-4p; some weekends required
• Location: Lubbock, TX- Pharm Tech will work onsite at facility location
• This is a closed-door (non-retail) pharmacy tech role filling scripts that will go to patients in rehab center.

• 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
• The compensation for this position is $19 per hour.

DATA ENTRY PHARMACY TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Licensed as a Pharm Tech in the State of TX required; National cert is a plus
• 2 years pharmacy order entry experience required
• Need to be able to read Physician, be familiar with Brand and Generic names of drugs as well as SIG codes.
• LTC/ long-term care experience preferred
