Richter Timber is seeking an experienced Manager to lead our logging operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily activities to ensure that production targets are met efficiently and safely. This role demands a proactive approach to crew management, equipment maintenance, customer relations, and market monitoring to maximize revenue and ensure the highest quality of harvested products.

Compensation:

• Salary: $100,000-$150,000 (Depending on Experience)

$100,000 - $150,000 yearly

• Operational Oversight: Direct and oversee day-to-day operations of logging crews to meet or exceed production targets. Ensure efficient allocation of resources and personnel to optimize productivity
• Equipment and Asset Management: Coordinate routine and preventive maintenance of logging machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and extend asset longevity
• Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers to drive business growth and ensure high levels of satisfaction with our products and services
• Market Analysis: Keep abreast of market trends, pricing, and demand for timber products to inform strategic decisions and maximize revenue from harvested timber
• Performance Reporting: Provide comprehensive daily reports to the company's ownership on crew performance, productivity, and any operational challenges encountered
• Project Evaluation: Assess job sites to determine the necessary equipment and crew size required to complete tasks on schedule while maximizing production efficiency
• Safety Compliance: Champion a culture of safety by ensuring all operations adhere to the highest safety standards and regulations. Regularly review and enforce safety protocols among crew members
• Quality Control: Monitor and evaluate harvesting and processing techniques to guarantee the production of high-quality timber products consistent with industry standards

• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the logging or forestry industry
• Strong understanding of mechanized logging operations and equipment
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of timber market dynamics and pricing strategies
• Commitment to safety standards and sustainable logging practices
