Warehouse Technician

Conexon is a rapidly growing company working with Rural Electric Cooperatives to build advanced fiber to the home (FTTH) networks nationwide. We are currently looking for a Warehouse Technician to join the Conexon Connect operations team in the Jackson, GA area.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day warehouse operations such as carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, scanning, storing and sending inventory according to purchase orders and shipping schedules. This role will also be responsible for loading orders onto trucks and shipping containers, organizing incoming stock and putting the appropriate labels on outgoing parcels.

Additional Responsibilities and Duties include:

1. Collecting/receiving merchandise from the delivery drivers.
2. Daily communication with Inventory Coordinator and colleagues.
3. Receiving and documenting merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse.
4. Keeping an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse.
5. Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notify the Inventory Coordinator.
6. Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packaged when receiving and deploying.
7. Managing all merchandise with appropriate care.
8. Assisting with training of newly employed workers.
9. Scanning equipment serials accurately.
10. Operating a forklift.
11. Maintaining a fully clean and organized atmosphere.
12. Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Highschool diploma required
• Self-Motivated and willing to learn
• Prior experience working in a warehouse
• Basic P.C. and Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong communication skills
• Strong organization skills
• Knowledge of operating a forklift
• Ability to work on feet for 8 hours and carry loads up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work independently and safely
• Initiative to work remotely with limited supervision.
