Director of Finance

POSITION SUMMARY

Be part of the leadership team to lead DBS. Lead, Manage and hold team accountable in the Accounting department which includes AR, AP, Payroll and Purchasing. Oversee all the Financial Operations with Analysis. Customarily and regularly directs the work of at least 3 or more full-time employees and interns. Supports DBS's management, purpose, mission, and values.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Leads, manages and holds the accounting department staff accountable to our values and to meeting KPI goals
• Defensive Coordinator
• Maintains general ledgers and other financial and accounting records.
• “WOW” experience for employees, customers and vendors
• Job Costing per service, per location
• Budget and Cash Management
• Provides accurate, timely, responsive analysis and reporting of financial to owners
• Procures, maintains, and evaluates accounting software.
• Is an ambassador for the company’s vision, mission and values

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS

• Knowledge of business principles and practices.
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, payroll, taxes, and related principles and practices.
• Knowledge of management principles and practices.
• Skill in operating a computer and programs.
• Skill in logic and math.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
• Ability to prepare balance sheets, income statements, and similar financial reports.
• Ability to understand and present complex information regarding business, insurance, and finance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance;
• 5+ years of experience as an accounting role; or
• A combination of education and experience that illustrates a proven track record in this field.
• Knowledge of Construction accounting, payroll and CPA is desired.
