Quality Inspector

Overview• The Quality Inspector is responsible for evaluating samples of packaging materials, work-in-process product, and finished goods to ensure that they meet specified standards for product quality and safety. Quality Inspectors perform various inspection tasks, including visual inspections, physical measurements, and package integrity testing to identify any defects or deviations from established quality standards. This role provides testing data and analysis to jointly support the Quality Assurance and Operations Departments.Responsibilities• Conduct visual inspections of packaging materials, work-in-process product, and finished goods to identify any quality defects or non-conformances• Monitor production equipment performance and document operational issues, changes to equipment setpoints, or deviations from equipment centerlines• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of any quality deviations observed• Communicate findings to the relevant stakeholders, including personnel from the Quality Assurance, Operations, and Maintenance Departments • Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with food safety and quality programs, regulatory standards, and customer requirements• Support the implementation of Quality Assurance programs and initiatives to drive a decrease in quality defects• Provide coaching and feedback to Production personnel on Quality Assurance programs and SOPs• Conduct other duties, as assigned by the plant QA Manager or QA Supervisor
