Hybrid: Yes (4 days in office with 1 remote workday)

Salary: $50,000/year

Job Summary

Overall supervision and administration of assigned SCSEP territory. Provide employment training, skills development, individualized career and employment counseling for low-income individuals age 55+ that results in unsubsidized employment.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Recruit, enroll, monitor, assess and evaluate participants and Host Agencies to develop and maintain appropriate skill training for unsubsidized employment.
  • Develop and regularly update Individual Employment Plans and provide effective case management, and corrective action when needed for all participants by identifying strengths and barriers to employment, referring participants for supportive services and document referrals and outcomes with case notes.
  • Develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships with Host Agencies, America's Job Centers, employers and other community partners resulting in EBTs, unsubsidized employment, enhanced training and/or resolving barriers to employment.
  • Prepare participants for job search through quarterly meetings, job search skills training, and job search related workshops, assist with job placement and follow up activities for retention.
  • Program administration to include office management, data entry, reporting, analysis of reports, and other administrative functions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in business, education, social sciences, or related field.
  • Knowledge of community resources in program's geographic assignment preferred. Microsoft office and database experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in training, job development, marketing and/or employment counseling preferred.

CORE COMPETENCIES (Requires Annual Assessment)

  • Meets enrollment and exit goals as budgeted.
  • Meets goals as listed in annual evaluation.
  • Attends all required educational programs or arranges for make up with supervisor.
  • Contracts with enough host agencies to meet assignment needs of enrollees.
  • Completes all required training or arranges for make up with Director of Workforce Development Operations
