Job Title: Desktop Support - Break fix Tech

Location: Fort Lauderdale , FL

Pay Range: $20-$25 /hr.

 

Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Account Support Field Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing hardware and software support to our valued **** customers' data centers. This role involves resolving technical issues, conducting installations, and ensuring smooth operations within the IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within HPE Enterprise systems, servers, storage, and networking.
  • Conduct installations and break/fix support, including component replacement and operating system installations.
  • Perform data center support tasks efficiently and independently.
  • Maintain documentation of daily activities and communicate effectively with management and peers.
  • Work collaboratively to resolve escalations and ensure the continuous delivery of data center support activities.

Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of Storage theory, Server layout, and Network concepts.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to make component-level repairs following ESD best practices.
  • Proficiency in using various computer applications and software tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work outside of standard business hours, weekends, and travel for out-of-state projects.
  • Experience with pallet jacks and data center server lifting tools is a plus.
  • Capacity to lift up to 40 lbs and operate manual and power hand tools.
  • 3-5 years of technical experience and an Associate's Degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent professional experience (5-7 years).

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Linux, Virtualization, and Windows Server.

Note: Candidates must be U.S. citizens and possess their own transportation. Travel expenses will be reimbursed according to Federal rates. Overtime may be required during installations or rack/stack events.
