We are seeking Ophthalmic Technicians/Office Staff to join our team! Full or Part time is available. Experience is preferred but not required. You will be responsible for scheduling appointments, checking in patients, insurance eligibility verification and filing, coordinating patient referrals, as well as pretesting including visual field testing, retinal imaging, and intraocular pressure measurements, and more. You will also help educate patients on eye health and best practices, and maintain an organized, clean work environment. The ideal candidate would be a friendly person that has the ability to alternate between and complete multiple tasks.

Responsibilities
- Greet patients and gather medical history and relevant information for their visit
- Verify and file insurance
- Help patients in their selection of frames and lenses to best suit their prescription needs
- Educate patients on contact lens care and use
- Schedule patient referrals to specialists and transfer prescriptions to pharmacies
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace at all times
- Previous office experience desired but not required
- Strong customer service skills and telephone etiquette - ability to smile and be friendly
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to prioritize & manage multiple tasks
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Competent computer skills with programs such asMicrosoft Office and Sage/Peachtree Accounting
- Ability to work well with coworkers
