About 360 Community Services. 

360 Community Services Education Program is a Level III contract service that focuses on providing a safe, supportive, and engaging educational environment for special needs students. Their goal is to help individuals with diverse learning needs reach their fullest potential. The program is designed to cater to students from kindergarten through young adult transition years, and they collaborate closely with home school districts, parents, guardians, and community agencies to support students in achieving their personal, academic, and social goals.

The staff at 360 Community Services are dedicated and committed to using a variety of innovative and creative strategies to engage students effectively. They encourage students to take responsibility for their own learning, behavior, and goals. The program specializes in serving students with unique abilities, including those with:


  • Autism spectrum disorders: This includes a range of neurodevelopmental disorders characterized by challenges in communication, social interaction, and repetitive behaviors.
  • Developmental delays: Students who experience delays in their physical, cognitive, or emotional development compared to their peers.
  • Sensory processing difficulties: Individuals who may struggle with processing sensory information, leading to challenges in responding to stimuli in their environment.
  • Emotional regulation problems: Students who find it challenging to manage and regulate their emotions effectively.
  • Behavioral problems: Those who exhibit behavioral issues that may impact their learning and social interactions.
  • Youth that require high levels of supervision: Students who need extra support and supervision due to their unique needs.

Position Overview:

As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing appropriate instruction in a well-managed, safe, and healthy environment conducive to learning for all grades and abilities.


Essential Functions:

  • Planning and Preparation for Instruction: You will be involved in designing and preparing lesson plans, instructional materials, and activities tailored to meet the individual needs of special needs students. This includes considering their unique abilities and learning styles.
  • Instructional Delivery: Your role will involve delivering the prepared lessons effectively in the classroom. You'll use a variety of innovative and creative strategies to engage the students, making the learning experience meaningful and enjoyable.
  • Assessment and Evaluation of Student Performance: As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for evaluating the academic progress and performance of each student. This involves using various assessment methods and tools to monitor their growth and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Classroom Management: Maintaining a well-managed classroom is crucial for creating a conducive learning environment. You will implement behavior management techniques to ensure that students can focus on their learning and development.
  • Promoting a Positive Classroom Learning Environment: Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture is essential for the success of the students. Encouraging mutual respect, empathy, and cooperation among students will help create a supportive atmosphere.
  • Establishing Appropriate Relationship & Communication: Building a strong relationship with students, parents, guardians, and other staff members is important. Effective communication will facilitate collaboration and ensure that everyone is aligned to support the students' growth.
  • Professional Growth and Responsibilities: As a Special Education Teacher, you will be encouraged to engage in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methods and strategies for special needs education. Additionally, you'll fulfill various administrative responsibilities related to the educational program.


Employment Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in special education or related field
  • Valid Nebraska teaching credential with special education authorization
  • Experience working with students with special needs
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
  • Pass a State & National background screen 


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to bend, lift and carry objects of varying size weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
