SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides crisis intervention to clients of Lightshare’s Mobile Response Team. Crisis services may be provided within the community and on-site of the crisis. Program provides services 24/7/365.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in a human service related field.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide crisis intervention services in person or by telephone to police, school and hospital personnel, and community residents dealing with crisis situations. This includes referrals as well as diagnostic assessment and crisis intervention treatment.

  • Conduct emergency on-site assessments of clients to determine the need for psychiatric care. Assess and stabilize high risk individuals and/or families.

  • Respond to calls within 1 hour.

  • Maintain records in accordance with agency policies and complete required outcomes protocols. • Participate in agency meetings and in-services.

  • Assists clients in removing personal and environmental obstacles to recovery, through assessing needs and community services.

  • Serve as a personal guide and mentor in management of personal and family recovery through follow-up contact and service connections within the recovery community.

  • Provides referrals to clients for outside agencies as needed and provides accurate and timely documentation within the charts.

  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential; following established confidentiality policy and procedures; maintaining professional boundaries with clients.

  • Maintains inter- and intradepartmental workflow by fostering a spirit of cooperation.
