85C Bakery Café is excited to introduce Jiou Chu Dumplings from Tauchung, Taiwan to the U.S. with its flagship location in Rowland Heights, CA. Jiou Chu Dumplings is a casual sit-down dining experience that presents a blend of traditional and modern flavors. We offer a wide variety of Taiwanese dishes including dumplings, noodles and sides. Our goal is to bring the nostalgia and comfort of a home cooked Taiwanese meal to your table.

Line Cook - Weekend availability required

We are currently seeking talented cooks who are willing to take challenges and grow rapidly with the JC Dumpling team. Individuals who are committed to exceptional customer service, detail oriented, with a willingness to go above and beyond.

Job Summary

Kitchen Line Cooks are responsible for food preparation, presentation, recipe adherence and quality control. All while working alongside top chefs.

We are hiring line cooks that have experience in casual dining or fast food restaurants. The ideal candidate has culinary skills and has experience preparing, cooking, plating.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform daily operations, including but not limited to: Kitchen Prep, Cooking, Plating etc
• Properly clean and sanitize all counters and work areas. Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Must be able to muti-task and adapt to any pace.
• Be on time for all scheduled shifts and adhere to all company policies and guidelines.
• Teamwork, follow direction and work together with the Head Chef to deliver outstanding service.

  • High School diploma or higher;
  • Fast food or retail experience is preferred;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask;
  • Acceptable verbal English communication skill;
  • Excellent work ethic and teamwork concepts;
  • Enforce Health Department Regulations and be ServSafe certified;
  • Weekend and holiday availability
  • MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE TO APPLY
  Physical demands:
  • Ability to continuously stand or walk
  • Ability to bend and lift frequently
  • Ability to lift up to 10lbs frequently and 50lbs occasionally
  • Ability to squat occasionally
  Work environment:
  • Work will be conducted in a kitchen and restaurant environment
  • May encounter temperatures ranging from 32 degrees to 425 degrees around equipment
  • May occasionally walk on slippery surfaces
  • Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud
  This position requires moderate physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting. This position requires nearly continuous standing and walking, repetitive hand motions, and reaching overhead.
