Summary:

This position is responsible for installing and/or repairing needed electrical services to customers in their homes or businesses. They work with other team members to provide excellent customer services. The apprentice ALWAYS works under the supervision of a licensed electrician.

• LTO/STO conversion

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Strategic Work

• Know how to establish customer rapport to sell the right products and services.
• Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans.
• Understand your sales criteria and hold yourself accountable for exceeding revenue goals.
• Show yourself as professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and repeat business.
• Work alongside customer service and dispatch to ensure overall success of the business.
• Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings, trade shows and retreats.
• Works with other team members to provide great customer services.

Tactical Work

• Is accurate and timely with invoices, timecards, curbside feedback, and option sheets.
• Wears proper safety equipment.
• Keeps work site clean and organized.
• Keeps truck clean, well-stocked, and organized on daily basis.
• Solves problems quickly and accurately.
• Does quality work.
• Follows all OSHA and local safety rules and regulations.
• Thoroughly cleans up work site when job is done.
• Helps other departments as needed.

• Regular, predictable on-site attendance expected.
• Follow all the instructions of the licensed electrician.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

• Must be willing to pursue, develop, and participate in continuing education.

• Proven track record in electrical techniques including electrical hardware, junction boxes and circuit breaker units, trace lines and reading wiring diagrams.

          • Must know the National Electrical Code.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate degree in electrical technology.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Must be able to read and write English well enough to read and prepare invoices, time sheets, and proposals.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in English to inspectors, vendors, customers, managers, and co-workers.

SKILLS and REASONING ABILITY:

• Must be able to successfully complete mathematical aptitude evaluation.
• Must be capable of applying sound business judgment to all decisions.
• Ability to find, diagnosis, & solve electrical problems.

• This position will require working indoors and outdoors in various climate conditions ranging from very cold with rain to very hot and humid. This includes attics, crawl spaces, basements, and confined locations.

• Must have command of all five senses sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
• Must hear and speak well enough to conduct business over the telephone or face to face for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 75--90 pounds
