Position Summary: Come join the pack as a Playroom Supervisor at Canine to Five. This is a great opportunity for a dog-loving leader who is looking for a long-term career and to develop into a manager.

  • Pay: $18/hr, quarterly bonus + tips (after 60 days)
  • Schedule: 36+ hours a week including 2 weekends a month and rotating holidays. Typically AM shifts start at 6am and PM shifts start between 12-2pm. Shifts are approximately 8 hours long.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures the facility is clean, safe and operating to company expectations.
  • In coordination with the appropriate manager, facilitates the scheduling of employees to ensure all applicable playroom shifts are covered to company expectations.
  • Ensures all pertinent behavioral episodes, incidents and general information associated with dogs in their charge are appropriately communicated and documented to company expectations.
  • In coordination with the appropriate manager, participate in the training of new employees regarding expectations of cleanliness, appropriate dog care, pertinent operational practices and general conduct of a Canine to Five Employee.
  • Ensures all relevant documentation associated with employee feedback and development is completed to company expectations.
  • Actively coach employees in the moment and have timely follow up; perform camera review with associates weekly; communicate performance gaps and concerns to associates and managers.
  • Participate in weekly supervisor meetings to review trainees, employees, changes in policies and procedures and address issues.
  • Lead weekly huddle meetings for the team.
  • Expedite the day by assigning pack leaders and dogs to playrooms as necessary; make labor adjustments as needed to meet business objectives.
  • Ensures the completion of facility opening and closing procedures to company expectations on days worked.
  • Ensures general awareness of problem dogs and the associated special instructions and handling procedures for the same. Ensures employees understand special instructions and can perform the handling procedures.
  • Ensures superior levels of customer service including, but not limited to, responding to questions, providing information on customer's dogs (behaviors, habits, activities) and engaging in a manner that continuously promotes long-term, professional and valued relationships.
  • All other duties as assigned by Canine to Five Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisor/management experience
  • Established knowledge of dog behavior and passion about caring for dogs
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, which include the ability to sit, stand for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours), reach, climb, bend, run and lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules (including weekends and up to 36+ hours per week), reliable transportation and be over 18 years old.
  • Strong multitasking, organization, communication and problem solving skills
  • Basic computer skills
