Position Purpose:
The position's purpose is to support one of the ESS largest business growth opportunities and diversification by establishing a national engineered fuel offering and a non hazardous waste and special waste program. This will help formalize offerings that are being led locally, gain better leverage on the market and allow to ramp up the tonnage and increase the profitability for a positive impact to the business, our customers and the environment. In addition, this position will assume all marketing and sales/business development responsibility for the EF wind turbine blade recycling program including contract negotiations and developing recycling outlets.

Primary Duties/responsibilities:

  • Develop a go-to-market strategy to grow the engineered fuels programs into a national program. Central point of contact for windmill turbine blade (WTB) contracts & offerings
  • Increase internal/external visibility and awareness of national engineered fuels program to drive opportunity and market share. Identify high volume markets/targets, develop relationships with key stakeholders
  • Manage relationships with customers and establish third party partnerships including those associated with WTB recycling program, evaluate all alternatives for end users of processed WTB material
  • Review potential new processing technology and develop business case for improvements
  • Establish and maintain category price lists, create standardization and synergy between processing locations and local branch teams
  • Maintain healthy pipeline for all branch and new business opportunities
  • Help operations team plan and prep for kiln outage plans
  • Maximize product outlet options through enhanced kiln network
  • Work to maximize internalization percentage to minimize third party spend
  • Provide best-in-class internal and external customer service and support
  • Work with local branch teams to develop and launch implementation plans
  • Develop relationships and business transaction with potential M&A targets
  • Spearhead external marketing efforts
  • Develop new process codes, pricing, and business rules - manage annual internal price increases
  • Central point of contact for kiln partners for alternative fuel program
  • Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background:

  • Bachelor Degree in related field
  • MBA preferred
  • 10 years experience in customer service and operations
  • Proven expertise in national program development and launch
  • In-depth knowledge of waste management, disposal & logistics
  • High competency in internal/external business development
  • Project management, program management
  • Proven track record of developing internal/external relationships with key influential stakeholders
  • Price and contracts negotiation experience

  • Ability to lead and inspire a project team
  • Ability to influence with and without authority
  • Knowledge of the service delivery process
  • Ability to design national programs, with multifaceted targets
