Job Description

Position: Leadership Development Instructor

Reports To: IBEX Program Manager

Location: Maxwell Air Force Base, Montgomery, AL

Type: Full Time Exempt

Schedule: Monday - Friday, based on courses

IBEX IT Business Experts, LLC is looking for a Leadership Development Instructor that will be responsible for managing all aspects of client support to carry out the mission of the United States Airforce, Air University Force Support Professional Development School. This position will be responsible for course instruction and student support. This position works closely with government representatives to ensure all contract requirements are met to 100% satisfaction, forging a synergistic relationship. Executes distance learning and resident curriculum, ensuring accuracy, relevancy, and credibility. Uses the Instructional System Design process, ensuring all courses and curriculum are educationally sound and exceed all university requirements and standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Civilian Leadership Development School (CLDS) requires skills, knowledge, and experience to deliver curriculum using leading edge information and technologies. The instructor shall recommend methodologies, resource requirements, and use instructional media and methods tailored to the subject to achieve desired learning objectives.

Other Duties Include:

  • The contractor shall instruct in the Civilian Leadership Development courses. Each course may consist of multiple sessions/classes to meet the student demand. Deliver curricula, facilitate group discussions through synchronous and asynchronous online classrooms and learning management systems, monitor participant progress and account for participant activity/participation in a distance learning environment.
  • Complete grading and respond to student questions, give feedback to students as needed and remediate them. Engage with students via phone and email to resolve course-related issues and help students make satisfactory progress as required. Provide the government with any requested data.
  • Teach seminars IAW with policy and approved methodology using provided technology (e.g., conference lines for audio and webinar platforms using a web-cam employing the chat function).
  • Review course surveys when provided for instructional-related feedback and make adjustments as necessary in coordination with the Government.
  • Primary reviewer providing feedback as necessary for student progress in on-line discussion boards, assessments, exercises, quizzes, and other interactive activities for participation.
  • Serve as focal point for all student questions during courses.
  • Assist students with AU Portal and SIS accounts (e.g., registration, disenrollment, graduation, etc.) by coordinating with Course Support.
  • Serve as online course support for other assigned course instructor(s) (e.g., additional support for online collaboration tools) as needed.
  • Follow all policies and procedures for instructors described by AF, AETC, AU, Eaker, FSPDS and CADP guidance

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job requires work to be completed using standard office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies up to 50 pounds.

APPEARANCE

All personnel shall wear business casual clothing for daily work and professional dress with customer meetings.
