Accounts Payable Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist for a growing client in the Columbus Ohio area. Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years of accounts payable experience along with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $19 and $24/hr.

Duties:

• Completes payments and controls expenses by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
• Assemble, review, and verify invoices (including checks for duplicates) and check requests.
• Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices.
• Sort, code, match invoices and set invoices up for payment.
• Enter and upload invoices into system, including expensing to accounts and cost centers.
• Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal id numbers, scheduling, and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
• Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos.
• Must be able to work within Work Order and projects systems.
• Process capital, maintenance, groundskeeping, stock and project-related invoices – check for duplicates, stamp invoice for management signatures, identify related system work order and verify that the invoice is consistent with the requirements of the work order, close out work orders per invoice, update reporting systems as required with cost information.
• Includes working in Excel project reporting.
• Includes processing internal labor and inventory charges.
• Includes scanning and filing critical documentation.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
• Provide supporting documentation for audits.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Prior experience in property management is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
