Accounts Payable Clerk

We are seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk for our manufacturing team based in Pelham, Alabama. This Accounts Payable Clerk role offers a contract employment opportunity. The successful candidate will manage the entire accounts payable process, handle job costing, and perform bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the entire accounts payable process efficiently

• Processing a high volume of invoices monthly

• Performing 3-way PO matching and reviewing invoices

• Scanning invoices into the system and maintaining accurate customer credit records

• Handling job costing and deciding how invoices should be allocated

• Performing bank reconciliations

• Utilizing software such as MS Great Plains and Microsoft Excel

• Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with MS Great Plains Accounting software

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with handling Purchase Orders

• Previous experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge in the field of accounting

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
