Accounts Payable Clerk

Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Payable clerk for an opportunity in the Agriculture industry. This role focuses on managing various accounts, establishing and maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring timely and accurate payments, all within a dynamic workplace environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable using various accounting software and programs

• Handle multiple accounts payable for different entities and vendors

• Analyze and improve workflow processes within the accounts payable department

• Establish and nurture relationships with new and existing vendors

• Ensure bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner in adherence to departmental procedures

• Process due invoices for payments in an efficient manner

• Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges to ensure accuracy

• Process transactions and perform accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts

• Utilize skills in 'Accounts Payable (AP)', 'Coding Invoices', 'Invoice Processing', 'Microsoft Excel', 'Sage Intacct' for efficient work processes.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is essential for this role

• Must have experience with coding invoices

• Knowledge of invoice processing is required

• Must be proficient in using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks

• Familiarity with Sage Intacct is a plus

• Should have a thorough understanding of basic accounting principles

• Prior experience in the agriculture industry is preferred

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills are required

• Must be able to work independently and within a team

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy is required

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Must have problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data.
