We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Systems Consultant in Columbus, Ohio. The selected candidate will be responsible for transitioning our payroll system from Workday to ADP for approximately 600 employees. The role involves remote work and requires a deep understanding of payroll processing and reporting, garnishments, multi-state tax, and W2 data accuracy. The consultant will play a key role in ensuring data management and HR knowledge is applied to maintain the efficiency and accuracy of our payroll system.


Responsibilities:


• Transitioning payroll system from Workday to ADP, ensuring minimal disruption to payroll processes

• Reconciling between the two systems to ensure accuracy of payroll data

• Acting as a Compensation Data Analyst, understanding how different payroll systems work

• Processing and reporting payroll, including garnishments and multi-state tax

• Ensuring accuracy of W2 data to uphold compliance

• Applying knowledge of HR and Data Management to improve payroll processes

• Addressing and resolving any payroll related inquiries from employees

• Monitoring and maintaining accurate customer credit records

• Taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments when necessary

• Regularly reviewing and updating payroll systems to ensure they are up-to-date and efficient


Role can be done 100% remotely and is expected to last through approximately July.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a payroll systems consultant role or similar
• Proven expertise in Workday Payroll and ADP - Payroll systems
• Comprehensive knowledge of payroll garnishments and multi-state payroll procedures
• Proficient in handling payroll taxes and related legalities
• Strong data analysis skills to interpret and manage payroll data
• Excellent communication abilities to interact with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Strong problem-solving abilities to address payroll related issues
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data management
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources or related field is preferred.
