Job Overview

The CI Process Support Technician will support improvement of Customer Experience and Operations/Manufacturing Systems. This role will represent Continuous Improvement department on initiatives related to Continuous Improvement, Product Development, Operations Manufacturing and Quality. Also serves as an Operations liaison to Customer Support Services, Technical Publications, R&D, and our Customers.

Highlights of your role
    Supporting Elevate, Infinity, & Modern Collections
  • Provide thorough, accurate, consistent, and timely responses to product and/or process questions from Customer Service/Sales Representatives and internal Field Service department (CI Inbox).
  • Support customer facing teams/groups by providing and facilitating product and service-related expertise
  • Ensure all contributors and those with proper expertise are engaged appropriately
  • Support the development of customer facing communication and training; includes written service instructions, training materials and video supplements
  • Support filed service solutions-think differently, innovate, and design service solutions that meet customer expectations, product performance standards, and are cost effective for the Marvin Company
  • Lead effective root cause analysis with all contributors-R&D, Quality, Engineering, Materials, Manufacturing, Customer Services, etc.
  • Function effectively as a project core team member and/or project leader
  • Successful core team member for Support, IPT, and PPT projects
  • Provide Continuous Improvement expertise to customer-facing concerns, service, and obsolescence matters
  • Successful leadership of moderately sized/complex initiatives/support/IPT projects with a focus on:
  • Building products to design and performance standards
  • Meeting/exceeding customer expectations
  • Reducing warranty costs and instances
  • Providing solutions for field service concern and/or fee-for-service initiatives
  • Manufacturing operations process improvements
  • Completion of projects on time, within budget, and with proper documentation
  • Travel to Marvin facilities and Jobsites as needed
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology or Manufacturing Technology preferred; Associates degree and/or 10+ years' experience in product design, product support, or manufacturing environment required
  • Requires strong knowledge and fluency with:
  • Manufacturing software (ICIM)
  • Autodesk (AutoCAD, Inventor, CAD, etc.)
  • Marvin Document Management System
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Order Management System (Marvin_OMS)
  • Service support Systems (MODL)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated competencies as a leader/project manager
  • Requires the ability to collaborate and influence
  • Significant service knowledge and skills required
  • Working knowledge of product design, installation requirements, jobsite air/water/structural testing practices, and general industry installation practices is required
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct analysis that manages the balance between customer satisfaction and profitability
