Job Description

Hydraulics International, Inc (HII) seeks a CNC Mill Leadperson (Lead Machinist) responsible for overseeing the programming and operation of CNC Lathe & CNC Mill machines in a manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that production schedules are met, and that the machines are running efficiently and accurately.

Key Performance Deliverables:

  • Review, negotiate and administer contracts with government agencies, including prime contracts, subcontracts, and modifications Develop and maintain CNC lathe & mill programs for a variety of parts and products.
  • Train and supervise CNC Mill and Lathe operators.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve programming and machining issues as they arise.
  • Help assist 2nd shift Supervisor to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of programming and machining processes.
  • Ensure that safety guidelines and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Maintain and repair CNC Lathe & Mill machines as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma.
  • Knowledge of CNC lathe & mill G-codes.
  • Understanding machining fundamental techniques (feed & speed, choice or proper cutting tools)
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience of set-up and operating CNC lathe & mill machines
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Experience in a supervisory or managerial role is a plus.
