Concord Mobil is a well-established automotive service center serving Massachusetts customers for over 20 years. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Massachusetts vehicle inspector. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and regulatory compliance of vehicles within the state.

As a Massachusetts vehicle inspector, your primary responsibility will be conducting comprehensive inspections of automobiles to determine their roadworthiness. You will meticulously review vehicles' mechanical and electrical components, as well as their emissions levels, to ensure they meet the strict standards set by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.

Additionally, your attention to detail and ability to accurately document your findings will be essential as you create inspection reports and inform vehicle owners of necessary repairs or maintenance. You will work closely with our skilled technicians to ensure vehicles are compliant and safe for use on Massachusetts roads.


Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to determine their compliance with Massachusetts regulations and safety standards
  • Inspect and evaluate mechanical, electrical, and emissions systems of automobiles, motorcycles, and commercial vehicles
  • Accurately document inspection findings and promptly create and submit inspection reports
  • Communicate with vehicle owners regarding inspection results, necessary repairs, and maintenance requirements
  • Collaborate with technicians to ensure timely completion of required repairs and re-inspections
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest regulations and standards set by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated

Requirements

  • Valid Massachusetts vehicle inspector license
  • Strong knowledge of automotive mechanics and electrical systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately document inspection findings
  • Strong communication skills to effectively explain inspection results to vehicle owners
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Familiarity with the regulations and standards set by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation
  • Previous experience as a vehicle inspector is preferred, but not required
