6 month project with potential contract-to-hire:

For this project, they will be working in supplements but might be cross-trained in the food lab.

Will be helping prep staff with labeling containers, glass washing, taking samples to where they need to go from prep and etc. Current staff will do the sample prep role but candidates can get cross-trained based on performance.

Sample Prep Technician role- candidates will work in the food lab

Repetitive job duties:

* reduce samples

* labeling samples

* store samples

Candidates will be working in the sample prep area reducing samples down to powder/liquid form for the chemists to do the testing. To do this, they will be using liquid nitrogen. They need to follow company regulations so strong attention to detail and strong documentation is needed. If someone has worked in a inventory/warehouse setting part time would be great as this is a repetitive job but attention to detail is needed for tracking samples.

Candidates will be standing majority of the day (90%+) and will need to use a 5lb hammer to grind samples. Candidates also have to be flexible to average 5 hours of overtime/week based on workload.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Biotechnology with 2 years of industry lab experience or High School diploma with 3-4+ years of good work history in a repetitive work environment
  • Be able to lift 40-50 lbs
  • Attention to detail (documentation is a must)- working under GLP regulations
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Reliable
  • 1+ years experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel programs
