PODS is seeking a growth oriented Product Manager to manage and deliver revenue and growth targets for City Service product line. The right candidate will be motivated by product management, revenue generation, as well as designing and delivering new products and services that align with customer and operational needs.

This role will work cross functionally with the sales, media, brand, revenue management, digital, and operations teams to coordinate and drive awareness, conversion, revenue growth, market expansion, and product development for City Service, Hawaii, and new product lines and ancillary services.

The right candidate will oversee a multi-million product portfolio and manage products and services within the ancillary revenue, fee, and core storage product categories.

Core focus areas include:

- Grow awareness and revenue for City Service & Hawaii product offerings

- Drive operational efficiencies through policy development, improved customer education and experience, product marketing, and product sales

- Own and manage campaigns around City Service, Hawaii, and new product lines

This role is required ONSITE at PODS corporate center in Clearwater, FL (Monday – Thursday, Friday Remote.) In-office presence is important for cultivating a collaborative and innovative work environment. When people are together in the same space, they are more likely to build relationships, share ideas, and solve problems together.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage new product and service development projects from idea through commercialization. Implement Stage-gate processes and lead regular pipeline reviews. Develop, test, and commercialize moving and storage products and services.
  • Own and manage core segment service journeys from demand generation through operational and communication experiences. Identify revenue and service gaps; evaluate and execute opportunities to close
  • Work with functional and segment teams to identify and evaluate opportunities, set marketing strategies for new products and services, develop financial and/or ROI models, and develop sales or marketing tools to support launches and sustain growth
  • Benchmark competitors and perform SWOT analysis. Incorporate customer, franchisee and employee feedback and ideas, market trends, and competitive analysis to define market opportunities
  • Develop, execute, and analyze consumer surveys aimed at understanding and improving long distance moving experiences
  • Partner with operations to optimize the current markets and product offering, drive efficiencies by scaling best practices and working with top markets to optimize training for new markets
  • Evaluate revenue, customer experience, and savings impact of policy changes and new policy implementations
  • Work cross-functionally to identify and evaluate opportunities, develop marketing strategies, build financial models, and create sales and marketing tools to support go to market strategies
  • Partner with sales and service centers to review policies, optimize sales journey, educate new agents about City Service, and work on improving conversion metrics
  • Derive macro, micro, and competitive insights through publications such as the US Census and IBIS (or similar) reports
  • Seek and discover new and inventive ways to better convert the existing lead generation pipeline
  • Incorporate Customer Satisfaction goals into all activities to ensure new products and services align with company brand and strategy
  • Ensure legal compliance for customer-facing and employee training for owned products and services. Develop internal education/training on products and services, and work with segment leaders to develop promotional content
  • Use Quality Functional Deployment or similar toolset to develop customer requirements and product/service definitions. Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, finance, operations and vendors to ensure successful and sustainable product launches
  • Architect internal and external end to end user journey across customer facing and back-end systems to support new IT enhancements and Web development
  • Own and manage revenue reporting around City Service and Hawaii
  • Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Experience in survey tools such as Medallia or Survey Monkey is required
  • Ability to research and analyze micro & macro trends through publications such as US Census and IBIS (or similar) data sources is required
  • Business planning skills including demand modeling, unit and fixed revenue and cost estimating, and price sensitivity analysis. Must be familiar with income statements, balance sheets related financial documents is required
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office products required
  • Must possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties
