Columbus Regional Airport Authority is looking for a HVAC Mechanic who wants to “Land Your Next Career”! This is a key position that is responsible for the maintenance and repairs to a variety of commercial HVAC equipment including: air conditioners, electric motors, heating units, chiller units, heat pumps, and packaged units throughout the airports. The Columbus Regional Airport Authority manages and operates passenger-focused John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH), cargo-focused Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK), and general aviation airport Bolton Field (TZR). Your “Take Off” will be successful by doing the following with excellence: Troubleshoot, repair, and make modifications to HVAC Systems. Calibrate thermostatic controls of heating or cooling units to keep temperatures at specified levels. Service pumps and perform water testing on boilers. Maintain sprinkler systems and exhaust fans within the terminal. Maintain PC Air units on jet bridges. Perform related work as required. Your “Landing” will be smooth if you meet the following requirements: Have a high school diploma or GED Minimum of one year of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining heating and air conditioning equipment Completion of a certificate program, an Associate Degree program, or apprenticeship in HVAC technology, preferred Familiar with backflows and sprinkler systems Ability to organize work and meet deadlines Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package including excellent medical, dental, vision, paid vacation, and holidays.
